Pet Ophthalmology in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah - Protect Pets' Eyes

Vets24 provides expert eye care for, dogs, cats, and other pets.

Redness, cloudiness, discharge, or constant squinting can signal an eye problem that needs more than a quick visual check.

If you’re looking for a proper pet ophthalmology clinic, rely on Vets 24, a vet clinic in Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah that diagnoses and treats eye conditions in dogs and cats using proper diagnostic equipment, not just a visual check.

Warning Signs Your Pet's Eyes Need Attention

Whether it’s the dog eyes or cat eyes, don’t wait for these signs to pass on their own:

  • Persistent redness, swelling, or unusual eye discharge
  • Swollen or puffy eyelids in dogs, or noticeable discomfort when blinking
  • Dog eye bleeding or visible dog eye damage following any kind of injury
  • Thick, yellow, or green discharge, often a sign of cat eye infection
  • Cloudiness, squinting, or pawing repeatedly at the face

If you’re seeing sudden bleeding, swelling, or a bulging eye, visit our pet emergency clinic in Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah right away, since delayed treatment can mean permanent vision loss.

Eye Conditions We
Treat at Vets24

From common irritations to serious cat eye diseases, our team handles:

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

One of the most frequent causes of redness and discharge in both dogs and cats.

Corneal Ulcers & Scratches

Painful surface injuries that need prompt treatment to prevent scarring or vision loss.

Glaucoma

A build-up of pressure inside the eye that can cause permanent damage if not caught early.

Cataracts

Cloudiness in the lens that affects vision, common in older pets.

Dry Eye Syndrome

Reduced tear production that leads to chronic irritation and discomfort.

Eyelid Disorders

Structural issues that cause the lid to rub against the eye itself.

Eye Tumours & Eye Cancer in Dogs

We check abnormal growths early, since eye cancer in dogs is far more treatable when caught before it spreads.

How Vets24 Diagnoses
Pet Eye Problems

Getting the diagnosis right matters more than getting to it fast. Our exam typically includes:

  • A close physical inspection of the eye, eyelid, and surrounding tissue
  • Fluorescein staining to reveal ulcers or scratches invisible to the naked eye
  • Tonometry to check eye pressure and screen for glaucoma
  • A look at the retina and internal eye structures where needed

Why Pet Owners in RAK &
Fujairah Trust Vets24

Detailed Eye Assessment

A slightly cloudy eye or a subtle squint can mean a lot more than it looks like, as our vets know what to look for.

Diagnostic Tools That Support Accurate Assessment

Tonometry and fluorescein staining mean we confirm a diagnosis instead of guessing from appearance alone.

Gentle Handling for a Sensitive Area

Eye exams need patience and a steady hand, especially with nervous or painful pets; that's how every exam is done here.

Follow-Through on Chronic Conditions

Glaucoma and cataracts aren't one-visit problems; we track them over time rather than treating once and moving on.

Surgical and Non-Surgical Care

When medication isn't enough, appropriate surgical treatment can be coordinated through Vets24's veterinary surgical team.

Eye Treatment for Dogs
& Cats at Vets24

Cat eye treatment and canine treatment protocols aren’t interchangeable, so every plan is built around the diagnosis. Depending on what we find, eye treatment for dogs and cats may include:

  • Prescription eye drops, ointments, or oral medication
  • Ongoing monitoring for chronic conditions like glaucoma
  • Surgical treatment for cataracts, corneal repair, or eyelid correction, carried out by our services for pet surgery in Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah team when medication alone isn’t enough

Get Pet Ophthalmology in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah

An eye problem left untreated for even a few days can mean the difference between a full recovery and permanent damage.

Vets24 offers the same standard pet eye care clinic near you at both our Ras Al Khaimah branch and our vet clinic in Fujairah with proper diagnostics, experienced vets, and fast treatment either way.

Dr. Tarek is an excellent veterinarian—very skilled, knowledgeable, and accurate with his diagnosis. I have been dealing with him for years and have followed him through the different clinics he has worked at because I truly trust him and his expertise. My only feedback is regarding the consultation and follow-up fees, which I find quite high. In some follow-up cases, the diagnosis is already clear and I only need the medication, so paying a full consultation fee every time doesn’t seem necessary. I hope the clinic can consider a more reasonable and flexible follow-up fee for loyal, long-term clients as I was a loyal client from 2021 " RAK branch"

Thank you very much to vet 24 team for saving our rescue kitten Lucky from the injury he had and also later as turned out he had parvo. They did their best and he is fine now! Big thanks to Dr. Asad who admitted Lucky when we found him. He was very helpful and understanding all the time. Always answering all our questions. As we were worried so much.. Also Big thanks to Dr. Godfrey who did the surgery and also took good care of Lucky and all the doctors, nurses and receptionists. Everyone was friendly and helpful . Always sending updates in WhatsApp. And it's really great that they are working 24/7. As we also found Lucky at night. I dint know what we would have done if no clinic would be open that day as he had a very bad injury. Thank you very much again!💗 Since my previous review, I would also like to thank Dr. Chen, for taking such great care of my cats. Thank you for treating my cat's teeth and for helping manage my other cat's urinary issues. His latest test results were perfect! Thank you as well for always answering my questions with patience and for your professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. I truly appreciate everything you have done. ❤️

Frequently Asked Questions

Is eye discharge in dogs always serious?

Not always, as mild discharge can be normal, but thick, colored, or persistent discharge usually needs a vet check.

It’s best not to; over-the-counter drops can mask symptoms or worsen certain conditions, so a proper diagnosis comes first.

It depends on the procedure and severity, as Vets 24 gives you a clear cost estimate after examining your pet’s eye.

Conjunctivitis and eye infections are the most common issues we see in cats, often caused by viruses, bacteria, or allergies.

Not always, as some are monitored over time, while others need earlier surgical removal depending on severity.
