Pet deworming

Pet Deworming Services in
Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah

Internal and external parasite care for , dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.

Worms don’t always show up as obvious symptoms, and by the time they do, your pet may have been carrying them for weeks. If you’re searching for pet parasite treatment near me, our vet clinic in Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah offers deworming and parasite control for pets of all ages, 24/7.

Signs Your Pet May Have Worms or Parasites

Some pets show nothing at all, which is why routine deworming matters. Watch for:

  • Visible worms or rice-like segments in stool or around the tail
  • Diarrhoea, vomiting, or blood in the stool
  • A bloated belly, especially in puppies and kittens
  • Weight loss despite a normal appetite
  • Dull coat, low energy, or pale gums
  • Scooting, or constant licking and scratching around the back end

Seeing any of these? Book a check rather than guessing at a treatment. The wrong product or dose can delay proper care.

Our Deworming and
Parasite Treatment Services

Our approach to comprehensive deworming for dogs and cats covers not just any worms inside the body, but parasites on the skin and coat, all under expert care.

Parasite Testing

Stool samples and a physical check to find out which parasite your pet actually has, so the treatment is matched to the problem and not a guess.

Intestinal Worm Treatment

Treatment for roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, with the medication and dose chosen for your pet’s species, age, and weight.

Flea and Tick Treatment in Ras Al Khaimah

Treatment for active flea and tick infestations on the coat and skin, along with advice on cleaning your home and bedding. If parasites have already irritated the skin, our pet dermatology service treats that too.

Puppy and Kitten Deworming Programme

Young pets are often born with worms passed on by their mother, so they need treatment sooner and more often than adults. We set up a schedule early and adjust it as they grow.

Ongoing Parasite Prevention

A regular deworming and flea and tick plan built around your pet’s lifestyle, so parasites are caught before they become a problem.

How We Deworm
Pets at Vets24

Every deworming visit follows the same steps, so your pet gets the right treatment and not a one-size-fits-all dose.

Health Check and History

We look at your pet’s age, weight, diet, previous treatments, and how much time they spend outdoors.

Parasite Testing Where Needed

When a test pinpoints the problem, we run it through our pet laboratory in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujaira, so treatment starts on the right diagnosis.

The Right Treatment and Dose

The medication is chosen for your pet’s species, size, and age. Please don’t use dog products on cats, or adult doses on puppies and kittens.

Aftercare and Schedule

We tell you what to expect after treatment, when the next dose is due, and how to keep your home and your pet’s bedding clean.

Ongoing Prevention

Regular deworming and flea and tick control, planned around your pet’s lifestyle. Pet vaccination in Abu Dhabi is most suitable for young pets that haven’t started their course yet.

Why Worms and Parasites Are a Real Concern for Pets in the UAE

Warm Weather, Year-Round Risk

Fleas and ticks don’t really have an off-season here. Mild winters and warm summers mean parasites can stay active through most of the year.

Outdoor Exposure

Walks, gardens, shared spaces, and contact with other animals can all bring parasites home. Even indoor pets can pick up fleas or worm eggs on shoes and clothes.

Risk to Your Family

Some intestinal worms can pass from pets to people, which is a good reason to keep deworming up to date, especially in homes with young children.

At Vet 24, I have always felt like part of a family. The entire team is incredibly friendly, caring, and supportive. Dr. Changaray has saved my dog’s life several times, and I will always be grateful for his dedication, professionalism, and care. The diagnosis was accurate, and I have always felt confident that my dog was in the right hands. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism we received was exceptional. I brought my 5-month-old red-eared slider turtle to the clinic for an aural abscess, and the procedure was performed on the same day. Thankfully, my turtle recovered well after the surgery and seemed to be doing fine. The receptionist was very kind, friendly, and accommodating. The doctor also briefly explained my turtle’s condition and the necessary procedure and care needed. Overall, I had a positive experience and appreciated the prompt service and the care provided to my little turtle. Thank you for helping my turtle.

Dr. Tarek is an excellent veterinarian—very skilled, knowledgeable, and accurate with his diagnosis. I have been dealing with him for years and have followed him through the different clinics he has worked at because I truly trust him and his expertise. My only feedback is regarding the consultation and follow-up fees, which I find quite high. In some follow-up cases, the diagnosis is already clear and I only need the medication, so paying a full consultation fee every time doesn’t seem necessary. I hope the clinic can consider a more reasonable and flexible follow-up fee for loyal, long-term clients as I was a loyal client from 2021 " RAK branch"

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I deworm my dog or cat?

It depends on age and lifestyle. Puppies and kittens need treatment more often, while adult pets are usually dewormed every few months. Our vet will set a schedule that fits your pet.

Usually within the first few weeks of life, then repeated at set intervals as they grow. Bring them in early so we can plan the right schedule.

Over-the-counter products aren’t always the right choice for the type of worm, or safe for every age and weight. A vet check first is the safer route.
